NOTE: The alternative to Johnson’s service requires speaking to representatives of eight separate debt relief companies. Representative are compensated to “convince or persuade” debtors to purchase their program as the debtor’s best option. When not utilizing Johnson’s free education and referral service, debtors also do not have the benefit of working with service providers who have a proven track record of providing legitimate debt relief programs.
